All the sales staff attend a four day workshop on ‘Mental Fitness’ presented by MD Steve Tetluk from the 4th of January to the 7th. ‘This was an important start to the year for the sales people at PanSolutions West’ comments Steve ‘we knew that the sales people had a hard year in 2010 and we needed to focus on the year ahead with personal goals taking precedent – I believe that if the people are achieving their personal goals, the company goals are a given.

The course covers personal goal setting, how to motivate yourself, keeping a balance, and above all developing the ability to take charge of your life through taking charge of your thoughts...’. Steve noted ‘They started the year with energy and vigour and the most important thing: belief that they can achieve their dreams – the simply need to take Massive Consistent Action (MCA) today – and then tomorrow...do the same...’

The PanSolutions Digital Media Division secured an order for 130 LCD panels for the national roll out of Bearing Man’s internal communication network. ‘We competed against many opposition companies, including some retail stores for the business, and in the end we won the tender!’ rejoiced Shakeel Rahiman, GM of Digital Media at West ‘we eventually had to import direct from overseas to get the correct pricing and supply the client with a quality Panasonic LCD screen!’ Shakeel points out ‘ when a client needs solution for digital media, it’s not just as simple as putting a plasma or LCD on a wall and connecting a computer to it.

There are many critical factors to consider and we at West have become leaders in the Digital Media space with our installations over the last 3 years at amongst others; Cape Town International Airport, Johannesburg and Bloemfontein Airports. With such high profile sites, and the difficulty of the working environments, we were selected due to our proven quality installations that happen on budget and on time – and that's no accident!’

Cidel Global Solutions, a finance company with offices in Sandton have selected to partner with PanSolutions West again. They have had a large Panasonic colour copier/printer workhorse at work in their offices printing and copying all their work, and have recognised that they needed a new machine to take over. They chose to return to their current provider, as the service and support was ‘exceptional’. In a finance business such as Cidel, time and money count – they simply cannot be without a printer, copier, scanner...which is why they chose PanSolutions West again.

‘We are not in the business of not making mistakes’ said MD Steve Tetluk, “that's impossible! We like to believe that our clients judge us on how fast we pick ‘the ball’ up when it is dropped! We are very blessed with good and committed people throughout our company who ensure that our customer receives the very best that we can deliver – without them, this would be impossible...’ reflects Tetluk when asked why he thinks clients return time after time.

CCTV Solutions: The team received official word from an installation completed in May 2010, that the CCTV, access control and biometrics system (linked to payroll) has paid for itself if just four months! The complete installation was an intricate one took over six weeks to install at Wasteman in Selby Johannesburg and cost over R 500 000. However the management at Wasteman are thrilled at the enormous savings to their company, and of course much increased productivity. Wasteman is a waste disposal company that specialises in medical waste and this installation was carried out at their critically important truck depot.

Wasteman had a CCTV system installed but it was a standalone system that did not integrate with their business, and in many ways was obsolete: Cameras were either not correct for the viewing area, monitoring was cumbersome and there were no feature that allowed for exception reporting or searching for specifics in the software. In addition, access control was not monitored, and remote viewing was not possible for management.

The integrated system provides a concise recording of all staff, company assets, and vehicle traffic in addition to fingerprint biometrics that ensures staff time keeping is accurate. The savings to company assets in transit is extensive, although is difficult to calculate at this early stage.
